Come step inside Sherman Elementary School (established 1892) and the first thing you will notice is the beautiful Spanish influenced architecture, tiled walls, and spacious auditorium. The cafeteria and main hallway are adorned with student created tile mosaics. Sherman is proud of its reputation as a grand, clean educational learning is limited to 20 students. The 4th and 5th grade classes average 28-30 students. In addition, there are four Special Day Classes, spanning all grade levels.

Fridays are Sherman Shark Spirit days embodying the school motto of "Be A Friend."

Tech Company Donates to Daniel Webster Elementary School

Last month, Sifteo, a Dogpatch start up company donated 25 sets of its interactive Sifteo cubes to Daniel Webster Elementary School.  The computers are being used by first graders to help with phonemic awareness, and as part of afterschool vocabulary and spelling programs.  Sifteo is making monthly visits to the after-school program to evaluate how well the Cubes are working, and solicit student ideas about new game designs.

School Address Fraud

ABC 7 had a story last night about a bunch of cases of address fraud that have been recently found in the district, with the district only putting in a minimal amount
