We like to think that there are many reasons. St. Thomas More is a school of choice. Almost all our students commute to and from the school. It is not a walk-in school that is convenient to a neighborhood. The very experienced staff offers an educational program that is not limited by the two by four approach. We believe that education is not limited to that which is between the two covers of a textbook and within the four walls of the classroom. Education extends far beyond the schoolÕs geographic boundaries! Parents choose this school for what it has to offer. Annually, there is a very limited number of required parent participation hours (about four). This is because we have so many active, interested and involved parents, both moms and dads. Please feel free to talk to parents of children already enrolled in the school to see why they are so proud to be part of the St. Thomas More School Community.

Tech Company Donates to Daniel Webster Elementary School

3-1-2012

Last month, Sifteo, a Dogpatch start up company donated 25 sets of its interactive Sifteo cubes to Daniel Webster Elementary School.  The computers are being used by first graders to help with phonemic awareness, and as part of afterschool vocabulary and spelling programs.  Sifteo is making monthly visits to the after-school program to evaluate how well the Cubes are working, and solicit student ideas about new game designs.

School Address Fraud

Much has been written about the upcoming changes to the SF school assignment system... and one of the new aspects is supposed to be better verification that the address you provide for your student is actually the address where the student lives. ABC 7 had a story last night about a bunch of cases of address fraud that have been recently found in the district, with the district only putting in a minimal amount
