St. Philip the Apostle School welcomes all students to engage in an education that fosters responsibility and the spiritual pursuit of knowledge. We are a school where adults believe in the promise of every student, and together we work to build and sustain a community of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and talents. St. Philip the Apostle School is a Christian community that challenges each individual to live a life of integrity, inquiry and purpose larger than the self. St. Philip the Apostle School is also an integral part of a greater community, the Alliance of Mission District Schools, working together to educate and meet the needs of children in the Mission Alliance district.

We believe that all students can learn given the appropriate opportunities and motivations. In keeping with this tenet, we provide a rigorous education that meets the needs of each student and provides opportunities for each student to demonstrate pride and responsibility. We affirm that, in partnership with the school in the development of the whole child, parents are the primary educators.

We are a community dedicated to the Gospel Values. We treat each child as a unique and valuable individual who God blessed with life. As role models and members of the world-wide Christian family, we demonstrate and teach respect for uniqueness and diversity in heritage, culture, ethnicity and lifestyle.

Tech Company Donates to Daniel Webster Elementary School

Last month, Sifteo, a Dogpatch start up company donated 25 sets of its interactive Sifteo cubes to Daniel Webster Elementary School.  The computers are being used by first graders to help with phonemic awareness, and as part of afterschool vocabulary and spelling programs.  Sifteo is making monthly visits to the after-school program to evaluate how well the Cubes are working, and solicit student ideas about new game designs.

School Address Fraud

Much has been written about the upcoming changes to the SF school assignment system... and one of the new aspects is supposed to be better verification that the address you provide for your student is actually the address where the student lives. ABC 7 had a story last night about a bunch of cases of address fraud that have been recently found in the district, with the district only putting in a minimal amount
