St. Monica School is a co-ed Catholic elementary school that serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, St. Monica is also currently a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange Education Network. We are located in the middle Richmond district of San Francisco, California and are home to a culturally diverse population of families.

The administration, faculty, and staff of St. Monica School cooperate with our parent community to provide a loving, Christ centered environment where each student is given the opportunity to thrive. Our academic curriculum is challenging. We pride ourselves in producing graduates who are well prepared to excel in the high school of their choice. Offered both within our curriculum and as extracurricular activities, we offer an active athletic program, a focus on science, technology integrated into the classroom curriculum, and participation in the fine arts and music. Our environment speaks for itself!

Tech Company Donates to Daniel Webster Elementary School

3-1-2012

Last month, Sifteo, a Dogpatch start up company donated 25 sets of its interactive Sifteo cubes to Daniel Webster Elementary School.  The computers are being used by first graders to help with phonemic awareness, and as part of afterschool vocabulary and spelling programs.  Sifteo is making monthly visits to the after-school program to evaluate how well the Cubes are working, and solicit student ideas about new game designs.

School Address Fraud

Much has been written about the upcoming changes to the SF school assignment system... and one of the new aspects is supposed to be better verification that the address you provide for your student is actually the address where the student lives. ABC 7 had a story last night about a bunch of cases of address fraud that have been recently found in the district, with the district only putting in a minimal amount
