Ninth and tenth grade students are required to take a minimum of five academic courses plus physical education. Eleventh and twelfth grade students are required to take five academics and one elective. The curriculum at Wallenberg continues to evolve over time. The course of study and mission statement are included with this profile. There are no remedial, bilingual or ESL courses offered at Wallenberg.
The senior classes of 1984 through 2001 averaged about 135 graduates each; approximately 95 of graduates went on to colleges and universities. Students in the top 20 of the classes were admitted to such prestigious institutions as U.C. Berkeley, U.S. Naval Academy, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Amherst, Mills, Mount Holyoke, Pitzer, UCLA, Bates, Brown, Bowdoin, Dartmouth, Columbia, Morehouse, NYU, Michigan, Tufts, Occidental, Pomona, Davis, Reed, Wellesley, Chicago, Cornell, Santa Clara, Yale, Vassar, Sarah Lawrence, Tuskeegee, Stanford, Swarthmore, Barnard, Columbia, Oberlin, Antioch, U.C.
