It is the mission of Our Lady of the Visitacion School to provide its diverse student population with the educational opportunities for academic acheivement that are necessary to fulfill the basic Archdiocesan elementary curriculum requirements for entrance into secondary school. All learning experiences are fostered within a faith community that has as its model the person and Gospel of Jesus Christ. Animated by the sprit of St. Vincent De Paul, St. Louise de Marillac and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, education and teaching are seen as the vision of service that manifest the daughters of Charity's consecration to God, to the Church and to the Community and the vision of service.(Philosophy of Education, Daughters of Charity, Western Province).

To fulfill our mission, the Faculty and staff of Our Lady of the Visitacion School strives to work in partnership with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children. Through this partnership students are challenged to become persons gifted with life and talents who are destined to form God's kingdom on earth.Inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary and guided by the Church's teachings, the school aims to develop well - rounded students responsive to the needs of society.

Tech Company Donates to Daniel Webster Elementary School

3-1-2012

Last month, Sifteo, a Dogpatch start up company donated 25 sets of its interactive Sifteo cubes to Daniel Webster Elementary School.  The computers are being used by first graders to help with phonemic awareness, and as part of afterschool vocabulary and spelling programs.  Sifteo is making monthly visits to the after-school program to evaluate how well the Cubes are working, and solicit student ideas about new game designs.

School Address Fraud

Much has been written about the upcoming changes to the SF school assignment system... and one of the new aspects is supposed to be better verification that the address you provide for your student is actually the address where the student lives. ABC 7 had a story last night about a bunch of cases of address fraud that have been recently found in the district, with the district only putting in a minimal amount
