Buena VistaÕs English-Spanish Two-Way Immersion Program develops fluency in both languages for English Language Learners and English-proficient students. Students master both English and Spanish by the 5th grade. Buena Vista celebrates Latin American traditions, exploring culture through the arts, history and holidays. 5th grade students have the full of excitement about learning and respect for children.

After years of debate, lawsuits and numerous community meetings, the San Francisco Unified School District voted unanimously on a new school assignment system Tuesday night. This so-called hybrid plan is a compromise between the wishes of parents who want to attend neighborhood schools and legal demands to maintain diversity.
