Virginia Thackwell loves architecture, San Francisco, and helping her clients find the home that is right for them - whether that home is in Cole Valley or Noe Valley, Potrero Hill or Pacific Heights, Inner Richmond or Inner Sunset, Dolores Park or Dogpatch; or perhaps one of the newer, trendier "initial" neighborhoods such as SoBe, SoMa,or NoPa.
Her career experience has honed her sense of humor, attention to detail, patience with others, and extensive negotiation and collaboration skills. In addition she has renovated and sold over seven homes in five states - California, Connecticut, New York, Ohio, and Florida. The architectural style of homes she has dealt with both personally and professionally include brownstones, Victorians, Edwardians, mid-century moderns, lofts, ranch style homes, and "Sear's" Arts and Crafts bungalows. She has experience in all types of home ownership including condos, co-op's, TIC's, and SFH's. She also understands the difficulties of relocation and being a first-time home buyer. No challenge is too big or small, that she won't want to spend time helping you to find the right home for you.
Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Cruz, in Economics; and studied French at the Sorbonne University in Paris. She also spent 4 years in the Air Force and is a certified Commercial pilot with instrument and instructor ratings. For fun she competed in two cross-country air races as the pilot-in-command and was successful in completing both races. Currently she lives in an Edwardian house in Inner Richmond and enjoys gardening, cooking, and cycling.
