On Saturday, April 27th, from 1-4 PM, there will be a community workday in Jackson Park. Projects include: light trenching work, laying down pathways and borders, flipping compost, succulent planting along the fences, and painting signs. All ages are welcome, snacks will be provided. Proposed Daniel Webster Elementary School Expansion to K-8 May Be Decided This Month:
This was an article in the Potrero View regarding the expansion of Daniel Webster Elementary into a K-8 school. Here's hoping for it to happen as parents in the Potrero Hill neighborhood are anxious to have an elementary and middle school combined for their children to attend.

There seems to be a dilemma for buyers AND sellers right now in terms of inventory shortage, which is especially acute in California. San Francisco, in particular, which has had a 41 percent drop in inventory, is showing signs of ambiguity for buyers--should we jump in now or wait until the inventory improves.

On Sunday, March 10th, from 2-4 PM, there will be a celebration of the opening of the second Potrero Kids campus. The Board of the Potrero Residents Education Fund (PREfund) started in 2006 with the mission to support education and build the community, which in the last 7 years, has accomplished much.

Daniel Webster Elementary offers both Spanish Immersion and English General Education, kindergarten to fifth grade. At the October 20th Potrero Hill Festival, Potrero Hill Archives Project director Peter Linenthal will display a replica of the original branding iron used by Mission Dolores. Come make a print of the "F" for Franciscan, the religious order which founded the mission in 1776.
