Gillian Pontes

Gillian joined Zephyr Real Estate in 2002. She is understanding, energetic and works tirelessly on behalf of her clients. Over 95% of her clients are either repeat or referral which is a testament to Gillian's commitment to them as well as her success in various market conditions over the years. She has first hand knowledge of owning and selling multiple types of properties in San Francisco, including TIC's, and can appreciate the vital (and sometimes stressful) role it can play in life. Her clients believe in her skills in minimizing the stress and maximizing their return. Gillian has always enjoyed working at Zephyr; it is great company both in its support of its clients and of our local community. We met Gillian and she steadily worked with us over the course of three or four months, preparing us for the sale of our home in Glen Park. She was flexible with our ever-changing timeline and provided excellent advice on how to maximize our investments in the house. This being our first house sale, she encouraged us to find the best strategic option for our family, based her tactics on those plans, and was patient in describing her strategies to us. Gillian provided several excellent references of contractors with whom we could work to prepare the house for sale. She brought with her a wealth of experience in staging homes and advised us accurately on getting the biggest bang for our repair bucks as we cleaned and prepped the house for sale. She worked well with our neighbors and contractors maintaining an air of professionalism at all times. Gillian went well above her duties as a realtor. We ended up leaving the state before all the work was completed on the house, and she offered to supervise the contractors to ensure prompt and excellent results. She even managed to retrieve a sentimental object that we erroneously left behind and mailed it to us here in Austin. All of her preparation paid off: she timed the open houses perfectly so as to attract HUGE crowds over the course of the 2 weeks the house was open. Not only did we receive multiple offers, but the winning offer exceeded our hopes in terms of price, contingencies, and escrow length. Gillian is originally from Maryland and soon after graduating from Bates College in Maine, she came to San Francisco to escape the cold. Prior to becoming an agent, she worked in advertising and marketing, honing her sharp analytical and negotiating skills. When she is not working, she can be found with her kids, family & friends, cooking, eating and exploring.
