Zephyr’s Neighborhood Photo Library Grows to 2,200+ Images San Francisco, CA – September 17, 2014 – Zephyr Real Estate’s acclaimed San Francisco neighborhood photo library has expanded by nearly 1,000 photos. The library, which Zephyr created last year, formerly covered 37 of San Francisco’s 89 distinct neighborhoods. With the expansion, the library now holds over 2,200 photos covering 61 neighborhoods.

Bay Area Beauty: The Architecture of the Residence Park

San Francisco, CA – September 12, 2014 – During the decades that followed the earthquake of 1906, new neighborhoods emerged in many parts of San Francisco. Influenced by the City Beautiful movement of the period, developers focused on land located in the outlying areas in the southern and western parts of the City. Some of the largest tracts of land west of Twin Peaks attracted a new form of residential neighborhood known as the ‘residence park’, areas defined by single family homes totally free of commercial development, integrated by a setting of green landscaped corridors and front yards. Balboa Terrace is among a very small number of such neighborhoods representing this approach to residential development in San Francisco.
