Little Hollywood

Neighborhood Overview

Little Hollywood

Little Hollywood, formerly a segment of Visitacion Valley, is a newly-defined neighborhood. Generally speaking, it is a triangle between Highway 101 and Bayshore Boulevard at their northernmost convergence. Reputedly, the area is so named because of the number of silent film stars who once resided there, including the infamous Mae West. Little Hollywood Park is located on Lathrop Avenue on the south end of this neighborhood, and the Bayshore Caltrain station is nearby. Also, Little Hollywood is in close proximity to Candlestick Park, Candlestick Point, Cow Palace, Brisbane and about 15 minutes from San Francisco International Airport.
