When Should Sellers Remove Staging or Start Packing After Accepting an Offer?

When is it safe for a seller to remove the staging and start packing, or give notice to the landlord? No matter how strong the offer is, it’s always a good idea to wait until the last contingency is removed before giving up the staging items or cluttering the house with packing boxes.  If sellers start the process of packing or the staging items are taken away, what happens if the escrow falls apart and you have to start marketing the house again? Although there’s never a guarantee that even after the last contingency is removed that a deal will go through, it’s better to wait. Just in case. These days, with buyers feeling insecure about jobs or the economy, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
