One of the oldest and best-known Bard-producing theatre companies in America, the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival presents Henry V at the Presidio Main Post on Parade Ground Lawn, between Graham Street and Keyes Ave.  From September 1 – 23rd, on any Saturday or Sunday at 2 p.m., you can see what happens when the young, English King Henry allows his own naïve, youthful swagger and boastful pride to propel England into war against France.  Of course, duplicitous, scheming ministers pull strings behind the scenes.  Surrounded by false allies, ambitious women, and an ambivalent army, Henry plunges headlong into battle anyway.  Does fortune always favor the bold?  Will there be a royal wedding?  You can find out for yourself, completely free of charge.  Special Labor Day Monday extra performance!  For details, please visit www.sfshakes.org.
