For Seniors: Adult Day Health Care

If you are a senior, or know any seniors who could benefit from stimulating day time activities with the added benefits of health care services, you probably want to know about Adult Day Health Care (ADHC). These centers are licensed community-based day care programs providing a variety of health, therapeutic, and social services. They enable seniors to continue living independently at home while thriving in a community that promotes their health, happiness, and quality of life.

ADHC center have teams of health professionals who conduct assessments of potential participants to determine and plan the ADHC services needed to meet their specific health and social needs.

Services provided include: medical services; nursing and personal care services; physical, occupational and speech therapy; psychiatric and psychological services; social services; therapeutic activities; hot meal and nutritional counseling; and transportation to and from the center.
