Four hundred students from 17 San Francisco public schools will pull on business suits, carefully place resumes in their backpacks, and head to interviews with members of the local business community. The students, who are in Academy and Pathway programs at their schools, will be grilled about their experience, organizational skills and career plans just like interviews in the real world in this annual mock interview event, known as the "Prom with Resumes." This year, the organization A Miner Miracle will be meeting with low-income students beforehand to provide them with professional clothes. The Academies / Pathways programs in SFUSD represent nine different industry sectors: Hospitality and Tourism/Culinary, Finance, Green & Environmental Science, Engineering/Construction Trades, Law, Health Sciences/Biotechnology, Teaching, Arts, Media & Entertainment, and Information Technology. There are over 30 Academies and Pathways in SFUSD's 17 high schools.
