Gracias Madre, on Mission St at 18th, is a vegan Mexican food restaurant not just for vegetarians. There's something for everyone: enchiladas, tamales, tacos, tostadas, all with a surprising twist. The food is seasonal and locally grown. It's amazing how they can make cashews taste like sour cream! The service was casual but accommodating. Give it a try, it just might turn you into a vegan!
