FREE ADMISSION X 2! One of the happiest outdoor hotspots in San Francisco, Dolores Park is teeming with social life, sports, and sunbathing during the day and plenty of free afternoon and evening entertainment too. On Sunday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m., the San Francisco Symphony and Tiempo Libre Salsa Band present a spirited concert set including tunes from “Westside Story” and the “Cha-Cha-Cha” and “Mambo” medleys. Then on Saturday, August 4th at sundown, the Dolores Park Works and Filmnight.org present the 1984 John Hughes teen-angst classic, “Sixteen Candles,” on a giant outdoor movie screen. It’s a perfect date-night under the stars, watching the pretty-in-pink Molly Ringwald fall in love with unattainable heartthrob Michael Schoeffling, while uber-dork Anthony Michael Hall somehow manages to “bag a babe” of his own.
