A while back I headed out in search of a very particular piece of molding to match the front door of an 1872 house that I was prepping for market in the southern part of the city. While I struck out in terms of finding an exact match I discovered a real San Francisco treasure in the process.

Building Resources is located at 701 Amador Street and is an amazing place that collects donations of reusable materials: old sinks, cabinets, doors, tile, lumber, lights, siding, flooring, windows, molding and more.

If you are looking for just the right match, saving money, or open to whimsy, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed by a trip to Building Resources. For more info call 415-285-7814.
